Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics

Technical wizards are not usually the best at people skills. The best bioinformatics programmer that I know is lousy at talking to groups of people. On the other hand, some people with great people skills might have a hard time understanding your technological benefits. What you want in a presenter is the complete package, whether you think of it as a nerd that can talk to people, or a tech-savvy people-person.

Unfortunately, people that are really good at both are rare. If your presentations have been putting people to sleep, and you would rather have people excited rather than bored by your company, contact me.

"Dear Martin,
I really enjoyed your talk at the O'Reilly meeting"

Katya Mantrova, Incyte

"Hi, Martin,
I liked your interesting talk in the bioinformatics technology meeting in Tucson. I am wondering whether I can have a copy of your slides"

I am now looking at new consulting opportunities for custom sequence analysis solutions and microarray design and analysis. If I am not the best person for your particular application, I probably know someone who is, and will be happy to recommend them. Either way, drop me a line and I will help you out!
